Biala Wind Farm Turbine Delivery Information

 

Turbine component delivery commenced on Thursday 19th March and finished on Friday 31st of July 2020.


Approximately 350 components were delivered from Port Kembla using specialist trucks operating in accordance with guidance from Roads and Maritime Services, the Upper Lachlan Shire Council and NSW Police who escorted the larger deliveries.

Delivery News

31st July 2020

Wind turbine oversize deliveries to site are now complete. Approximately 350 components have been delivered to site since March. To date, 15 of the 31 turbines at Biala Wind Farm have been erected. Thank you for your patience. For more information, please call 1800 370 045.

 

25th March 2020

The first turbine blade arrived onsite today. Thanks for your patience. Deliveries will continue through until Saturday. There will be no deliveries on Sunday. Deliveries will restart on Monday (30/03/20). For more information, call 1800 370 045 or click here.

 

23rd March 2020

Turbine component deliveries are expected to commence on Wednesday this week. Up to 20 deliveries per week are expected to occur from Mon-Sat. Deliveries will travel from Port Kembla to Goulburn via the Hume Hwy, onwards to Crookwell via Crookwell-Goulburn Road, bypassing the Crookwell town centre via Grange Rd, Cullen St, Kialla Rd and Range Rd through to Grabben Gullen Rd and arriving at site. A route map can be downloaded from here.

Deliveries of oversize components are expected to arrive in Goulburn at 5:30am. Between 6am and 9am they will travel from Goulburn to the wind farm site. Please consider using alternative routes where possible during these times to avoid delays. We are grateful to the community for their patience. For more information call 1800 370 045.
