Community Consultative Committee
Biala Wind Farm has formed a Community Consultative Committee or CCC.
The purpose of the CCC is to provide a forum for open discussion between representatives of the wind farm, the community, Upper Lachlan Shire Council and other stakeholders on issues relating to the wind farm. The CCC has an important role to play as the wind farm moves into the construction phase. It is important to us that we can hear from the community and let the community know what we are up to.
The first meeting of the Biala Wind Farm CCC was conducted on Tuesday, 21st July 2015. Meetings will be held regularly as the wind farm moves toward construction. Minutes of meetings will be posted here after a meeting is held.
If you would like to be a member of the CCC or if you would like to attend to observe future meetings, then please contact the CCC’s independent chairperson, Nic Carmody. Nic can be contacted by email at [email protected]
The CCC will be operated generally in accordance with the “Community Consultative Committee Guidelines” issued by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. These guidelines can be viewed here.
The next meeting of the CCC will be held at Gunning Council Chambers on Tuesday, 20th February at 1pm.
